Hannah Whyman

Hannah is an actor, singer, improvisor and cosplayer from North Yorkshire living in London. She began her training at Manchester Met where she studied Contemporary Theatre and Performance and found a love for making and devising her own work. In 2014 she went to Edinburgh Fringe for the first time in a production called National Loaf by Charlotte Productions. In the September she moved to London to train with Fourth Monkey Theatre Company. This was her first experience of learning actor disciplines of voice and movement and the world of Rep Theatre. She did her first Shakespeare Season at Trinity Buoy Wharf in site specific productions of Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer Nights Dream and returned to the Edinburgh Fringe as part of Fourth Monkey's Grimm Tales in 2015. In 2017 she joined Amanda Redman's Artist's Theatre School (ATS) and played Ma Gwynn in a production of Nell Gwynn. Since then she has done a variety of work with the Theatre Company, The UnDisposables, including writing and performing in her own play Retail Therapy (2018) at the Ye Olde Rose and Crown Theatre, as well as writing, acting and stage managing some of their other productions. She did a six week Improv workshop with Harry Kershaw of Mischief Theatre (2018 and again 2024) and then worked with Hoopla in 2019-2021 and did courses with them in Improv and Sketch Comedy courses with Gemma Arrowsmith in stage and radio.

In 2021 she trained with All in Actors, finding a love for clown, screen acting, voice, accents and movement. In 2022 she was cast as Caliban in All In Actors’ Immersive Production of The Tempest set in a Prison at the Kennington Park Community Centre, directed by Stephen Sobal and Ami Sayers.

Since leaving All In Actors, you can now catch her in Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The World’s The Immersive Experience, taking on the roles of Peggy, The Curate, Perry, Al, Grimaldi, and Eli.
